/EIN Presswire/ -- AB InBev to Reduce Water Consumption in Brewing by 30 pct
The world's largest brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev, will drastically reduce the amount of water used to brew beer, with the goal of cutting water consumption by 30% in 2012.
For every liter of beer produced in 2007, AB InBev used 5 liters of water. In an effort to combat the growing scarcity of water, the company wants to use only 3.5 liters of water to produce a liter of beer and says that it's about halfway to that goal.
