-- Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Electrical has been approved to be a Testing Organization by North American Technician Excellence (NATE). NATE is the nation's largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians. As an approved testing organization, Abacus will host testing sessions for candidates seeking NATE HVACR technician certification.
In addition, Abacus has been approved as a Recognized Training Provider to offer HVACR-related training to those technicians seeking training for NATE recertification.
By passing nationally recognized tests and becoming NATE-certified, a technician verifies that they possess the skills and knowledge to perform at the highest industry standards. A technician maintains NATE certification by attending a requisite amount of technical training every two years to stay informed about the latest advances in the industry. Since the HVACR industry does not require technicians to take mandatory competency tests, many of today's consumers hire contractors with NATE-certified technicians to ensure they are working with qualified professionals.
