/24-7PressRelease/ - AMMAN, JORDAN, May 26, 2007 - The trip held on May 4th 2007, provided a unique driving experience for all attendees, allowing them to test, first hand, the HUMMER's capabilities through off road driving challenges in Wadi Araba, South of Jordan.
The event was attended by over 130 HUMMER car owners, the company's HUMMER team employees and media representatives. Attendees gathered at the Abu Khader Mecca Street showroom, home to luxurious brands including Cadillac and HUMMER, at 7:30 am where they were provided with an overview of the day's program. The convoy, consisting of over 35 HUMMER vehicles, set out at 8:30 am towards an entire day filled with fun and excitement.
The trip included a stop at the Beer Mazkour area where drivers paused to admire the marvelous view and enjoy a lavish lunch in true traditional Bedouin style, prepared and cooked by the hospitable local community at Feynan eco-lodge located within The Dana Biosphere Reserve which is managed by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature. Participants also received gifts including HUMMER shirts, caps and key chains, filled out membership applications for enrollment in the HUMMER exclusive club "The HUB".
The HUB is an outdoor activities oriented club, formed for and managed by HUMMER owners. The HUB's mission is to explore the outdoors in a safe and environmentally-friendly fashion, and its activities include planned outings, camping trips, desert challenges, treasure hunts, and much more.

"The HUB Ride and Drive event was thoroughly enjoyed by those who were lucky enough to put these iconic vehicles to the test, and the HUB provided the opportunity for HUMMER owners to meet each other and share their experiences" He added.
Raed Muti, General Manager of Abu Khader Automotive, from his end said that he was happy to see such a turn up at the event and that it gave him a great sense of joy to see the HUMMER prove once again its solidity off road.
It is important to note that Abu Khader Automotive launched the HUMMER H3 in a similar trip in the year 2005, whereby it allowed all the HUMMER owners to drive on road and off road the HUMMER vehicles within the Dead Sea area.
