/24-7PressRelease/ - December 28, 2007 - An all-new art and design show for Boston will debut in Spring, 2008 when Fusco & Four, producer of the Boston International Fine Art Show (BIFAS), presents AD 20/21. The show takes place April 3-6, 2008 at The Cyclorama, Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street in the South End.
With approximately 40-45 galleries and design exhibitors of the highest quality, the show will include major decorative arts movements such as Arts and Crafts, Art Deco, Scandinavian Design, and Mid-Century Modern side by side with 21st century design, studio furniture, glass and ceramics, as well as a stunning array of paintings, sculpture, prints, and photography from the last 108 years. A roster of exhibitors will be announced January 15.
"The last 10 years have seen a dramatic change in this affluent, educated city, with a growing demand for a sophisticated art and design show featuring modern to contemporary work," comments Co-Producer Tony Fusco. "With more than a decade of experience presenting the highly successful Boston International Fine Art Show at the same location, we are confident that AD 20/21 will attract attention and buyers."
The fair opens with a Gala Preview to benefit the Boston Architectural College on Thursday, April 3. The BAC, New England's largest independent, accredited college of spatial design, offers programs in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, design studies, and more.
Weekend show hours are: Friday, 1-9, Saturday 11-8, and Sunday 11-5. Admission $15 (under 12 free) includes a complimentary 80-page catalog, coat check, and re-admission throughout the weekend. The weekend show ill also feature speakers and programs to be announced. Also planned are Art Deco architectural walking tours of Boston, and area organizations will be invited to offer concurrent modern design events, lectures and exhibitions.
Tony Fusco and Robert Four have been promoting the arts in Boston for 30 years. They are the producers of the annual Boston International Fine Art Show (BIFAS), which will have its 12th Anniversary November 20-23, 2008 at the same location. (Visit http://www.FineArtBoston.com)
No strangers to modern design, Tony is founder of the Art Deco Society of Boston (ADSB), and served as Facilitator for the International Coalition of Art Deco Societies (ICADS) for 7 years. He is the author of five collecting guides on Art Deco and vintage posters.
