The National Association of Realtors released their report on home sales for October, and the numbers are largely reflective of how quickly banks are unloading on foreclosed properties. On the west coast, where home sales were up thirty-three percent, the median prices fell nearly twenty-seven percent. The condominium market was somewhat similar with sales being up five percent and prices falling nearly twenty-four percent. Median prices are reflective of the mixes of properties sold, and over the past number of months the downward trend has been consistent.
