Allgon with Advantech - LoRes
- MONTREAL, CANADA, September 14, 2005 - Advantech AMT, a manufacturer of satellite and terrestrial wireless communication equipment with corporate headquarters in Montreal, Canada, today announces that it has reached an agreement with Powerwave Technologies to purchase Powerwave's Microwave operation in Gothenberg, Sweden.
The wholly-owned group will be incorporated as AdvantechAMT AB and resurrect the Allgon Microwave brand, which it previously used prior to joining the Powerwave group and is well-known for its high reliability, low-medium capacity microwave radios, spanning 7 to 38GHz and 8 to 36Mbps.
