Ann's own marriage, which ended amicably and by mutual consent, still left her with feelings of guilt, failure, disappointment and vulnerability which she couldn't understand at the time, purely because the marriage HAD ended amicably and by mutual consent. Within 2 months of her separation from her husband, believing herself to be over the break up, she started a new 'rebound' relationship. When that ended disastrously six months later, she was completely floored by the grief and other assorted emotions associated with having two failed relationships in a short space of time.
These things happened over 10 years ago, and during the intervening years, she grew to enjoy and appreciate the advantages of being a 'singleton'. She did a great deal of work on herself, learned a huge amount, trained as a Life Coach and set up her own niche practice, coaching single women to be 'Successfully Single'.
