African Fighters make their American Debut when Professional Boxing Returns to Newark, NJ on April 17, 2008 KA Productions, LLC together w/Coors Light & WM.S. Rich & Son, Inc.
The much anticipated boxing matches will take place at the Robert Treat Hotel, located at 50 Park Place, Newark, NJ.

    /24-7PressRelease/ - NEWARK, NJ, April 06, 2008 - The Main Event making his American Debut from Accra, Ghana is Joshua Okine. Nicknamed Bukum Tastsu, Welterweight, record of 18-3-1-12 KO's. Okine faces off against Doel Carrasquillo, from Lancaster, PA, Welterweight, record of 11- 7-1-9 KO's, 8 rounds.

The Co-Event and making his American Debut from Accra, Ghana is Albert Mensah. Lightweight, record of 15-3-1-6 KO's, nicknamed Tornado. Opponent to be named, 8 rounds.

Preliminary Bouts are:

Moebi Sarouna also making his American Debut from Togolaise, Africa, Featherweight, Wt 134, record of 16-5-9 KO's. Opponent to be named, 6 rounds.

Francisco Rodrigues faces off against Juan Manuel Dominiguez. Rodrigues is from Puerto Rico, Banton weight with a record of 4-1-1-1 KO's Dominguez is from Santiago, Dominican Republic, with a record of 2-0-0-0 KO's, both fighters weigh in at 120 lbs. 4 rounds.

Tyyab Beale is from Orange, NJ Heavyweight, with a record of 0-1. Beale will fight against Derrick Allen from Wilson, NC with a record of 0-1. 4 rounds

"This is a historical event in my lifetime, one in which I have three African fighters, two of which are from the same country, on the same fight card. I am happy that I have been able to bring them to a better place, where they can get more recognition for being great fighters," stated Karriem ABdAllah, Promoter. "The fighters dream was to come to America and I made that dream a reality. I believe that America is the land of dreams. Ultimately, when the sanctioning body witness the fighting ability of these boxers, I hope that they agree that these fighters are worthy of being put in the boxing rankings," ABdAllah added.

Confirmed honorary guests of the boxing match from Ghana will be Ignamoah Elleteh, Secretary General of Ghana Boxing Authority and Alex Ntiamoah, Boxing Matchmaker of Ghana. Sponsors include Coors Light and WM. Rich & Sons, Inc.
