    PARILLA, SA, AUSTRALIA, August 28, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Mark A. Pye has been accepted among the ranks of leading professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of his outstanding work in the Agriculture Industry. As Managing Director of Parilla Premium Potatoes Pty. Ltd. for the past 20 years, Mr. Pye has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be successful in the business world.

Parilla Premium Potatoes is a successful South Australian horticultural potato farm with properties in Parilla and Robe. They produce more than 55,000 tons of fresh produce per year to supply both fresh and processing markets in Australia and overseas. In addition to their main crop of potatoes, they also produce onions and carrots. Parilla Premium Potatoes also has a small interest in cereal cropping and livestock.

Prior to establishing the company, Mark worked on his "market gardening technique" while on holidays from school and at the age of 18 leased 30 acres of land from his family to grow Japanese pumpkins for export to Japan. This provided Mark with the capital to buy into dairy cattle and at the age of 21 he was milking 300 cows daily.

Mark started the company with his father Alan. He is responsible for managing all major aspects of the business as well as overseeing the daily operations. During his educational career, he earned a Diploma in Agriculture from St. Andrews College. In the time away from his busy schedule, Mark greatly enjoys flying airplanes.
