GULF SHORES, AL, July 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- After hosting thousands of USSSA athletes, the Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission is set to host the fifth and final event for this premier youth softball and baseball organization. The USSSA Beach Blast (softball) and End of Summer Beach Trip (baseball) will be held July 25th and 26th on Pleasure Island.
Approximately 30 softball teams ranging in age from 10 to 18 years old will swing for the fences at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex. Games will be held on both Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is $7.00 per day or $12.00 for a weekend pass.
Meanwhile, the Orange Beach Sportsplex welcomes about 40 baseball teams, who are between 7 to 16 years old. Similar to the other tournament, games will be held on both Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Also, admission is $7.00 per day or $12.00 for a weekend pass.
The Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission will welcome these upcoming events: 2009 Summer's End Softball Tournament (July 31-August 2), the Gulf Coast Region Beach Series Grand Championship (August 1-2), Brett Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon (September 19), and the Perdido Beach Resort Soccer Classic (September 19-20).
