Albert P. Wheatley Jr. Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Clinical Physics

Albert P. Wheatley Jr. conducts a training program on radiation oncology for new physicists at Texas Tech University



    LUBBOCK, TX, January 3, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Albert P. Wheatley Jr., Chief Physicist for Systemic Physics, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in clinical physics.

A licensed radiotherapy medical physicist in the state of Texas, Mr. Wheatley does ongoing work in the field of clinical medical physics. He has more than 40 years of experience, spending the last 11 with Systemic Physics. Skilled in clinical physics, he consults on medical and radiotherapy physics for cancer treatment. He also conducts a training program on radiation oncology for new physicists at Texas Tech University.

Prior to his stint as a chief physicist with Systemic Physics, Mr. Wheatley worked as a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America from 1970 to 1982. He also served as a physical scientist for the U.S. Army for four years after earning the rank of E-4. He attributes his success to his upbringing and education.

Mr. Wheatley earned a Bachelor of Science from The University of Maryland and is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. In 1988, he was given the Special Contribution Award from VAMC Shreveport and two years later he received the Special Contribution Award from VAMC Memphis.
