    NEW YORK, NY, November 8, 2008 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Dr. Alberto D. Urena, Chief Executive Officer of NY Hispanic Family Medical, PC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of healthcare.

Dr. Urena has 24 years of medical experience and specializes in primary care and internal medicine. As CEO of NY Hispanic Family Medical, a healthcare center offering internal medicine, preventive and primary care, he is in charge of treating Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurances patients and overseeing business operations. Dr. Urena became a doctor because he wanted to help people improve their health and change their lives through disease prevention. Honored with a Recognition Award for 10 years of exemplary service by E1mhurst Hospital Center, he attributes is success to his faith in God and to the support he receives from the people around him.

Dr. Urena is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, receiving his initial certification in 1996, and recertification in 2007. Dr. Urena received his MD from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña in the Dominican Republic in 1994. He was an Assistant Attending and Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Elmhurst Hospital Center from 1993 to 2003. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Medical College of Physicians, and the Medical Society of the State of New York. He looks forward to continuing to make a difference in his community.
