    MARBLEHEAD, VIRGINIA, September 25, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alex Wormser, chairman and chief executive officer for Wormser Energy Solutions, Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in energy solutions.

Mr. Wormser is a serial entrepreneur who has founded and operated three companies that began with a concept that ended up as commercial products. The first is a superior plumber's torch that is widely used here and abroad, even in China. The second is an industrial coal boiler technology that lowers emissions that cause acid rain, enabling it to be designated as Best Available Technology by the EPA. Currently he is developing technology to retrofit existing coal plants that reduces their carbon dixode emissions by 95%, greatly reducing their impact on climate change. The new technology is affordable enough to avoid the need for subsidies or changes in the regulations. By the end of the decade he hopes to have a utility-scale plant in operation and ready for commercialization.

Mr. Wormser received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1954 from Yale University. He holds certification through the Edison Engineering Development Program offered by General Electric Company. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
