Alicia L. Benjamin, PMP, Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Training and Development

With six years of experience as an engagement manager of ESI, International, Inc., Ms. Benjamin specializes in project management. She oversees the entire process involved in implementing training programs, which includes working directly with sales representatives, overseeing the entire service delivery process and meeting the specific needs of the clients, and ensuring that clients receive the highest quality in performance improvement. She became involved in her profession through her professional experience; after she graduated from college, she began working at a community college developing business and education partnerships and implementing adult learning programs. Over time, she developed an expertise in training and performance improvement management.

ESI, International, Inc. is a project and contract management training company that provides training in multiple learning modalities such as instructor-led courses, virtual and e-training through to executive workshops and social media. The company also provides courses on business analysis, contract and vendor management, and business skills.

Ms. Benjamin received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mary Baldwin College in 1992. She has been named a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI). She is the director of marketing and publicity for PMI Hampton Roads Chapter as a volunteer. She is also a national and local member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). She is also a volunteer with The Up Center, a non-profit organization that identifies and responds to the ever-changing needs of the Hampton Roads community. From infancy to the senior years, the non-profit provides innovative and effective programs and services. In the near future, Ms. Benjamin plans to obtain additional certifications, and possibly pursue a master's degree. She will strive toward professional growth, and will continue to take a more consultative approach with her clients.
