NEW YORK, NY, October 07, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alicia Piller, one of New York City's most innovative and sought after young artist/designer's will preview her latest collection of elaborate oil paintings, suede/beading wall-hangings, and pen/ink drawings. Alicia has managed to step out of her box, breaking away from her typical themes of friends and family as subject matter.

The "There Will Be Life After Death" exhibition explores the past, present, and future of the world and what is to come of its inhabitants. Alicia's oil paintings, while large and striking from a distance; continue to draw the viewer in, revealing their painstakingly elaborate detail. Every section seems to come alive as she creates a world of controlled ciaos; blending various painting styles at every turn, while also mixing beautiful imagery with morbid overtones.

Alicia's suede and beaded wall-hangings become dimensional versions of her paintings. These intricate pieces are all made up from remnants of Alicia P.'s original suede jewelry. Piecing these discarded shapes together has brought them to life once again, going along with the theme of the show. This theme is taken further with use of suede itself, breathing life/creating designs with the actual skin from an animal.

Lastly, her pen and ink drawings are a perfect addition to the show, providing the viewer a break from the overwhelming nature of her other works. These pieces are considerably smaller in scale, but never lacking in detail, which seems to be Alicia's specialty.

There is no other artist/designer producing anything remotely close to the artwork, jewelry, clothing and custom designs like the ones created by Alicia Piller. Her work has been displayed in the Fader magazine, Luire, the Japanese magazine and H.A.S. magazine, to name a few. When it comes to Arts and Fashion, Alicia Piller is truly a renaissance woman, not only setting an example, but paving the way for future generations.
