/24-7PressRelease/ -- The 18th Annual Isolabella Lecture Series on Social Psychology and Leadership, an endowed annual presentation created by the late Dr. Herb Baker, will feature internationally recognized leadership expert, lecturer, university professor and author Jim Kouzes who will talk about "The Truth About Leadership" on Thursday, February 11 beginning at 5:45 pm at Green Hall on the campus of Alliant International University. The event is free and open to the public.
The event is jointly sponsored by the SYMLOG Consulting Group and the International Organizational Studies Association at Alliant's Marshall Goldsmith School of Management. Attendees are also invited to have coffee with Kouzes prior to the lecture beginning at 5:20 pm in Green Hall.
"Our school, and its founder Marshall Goldsmith, focus on leadership and Jim Kouzes is one of the school's thought leaders as well as world renowned expert on leadership," said Jim Goodrich, founding dean of Marshall Goldsmith School of Management. "Jim has conducted extensive research and published "Leadership Challenge" with his partner Barry Posner who was last year's at Isolabella Lecture Series speaker."
Kouzes is also the Dean's Executive Professor of Leadership, Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University.
The Leadership Challenge is an award-winning and best-selling book with over 1.8 million copies in print. The fourth edition of The Leadership Challenge was released in August 2007 and is available in twenty languages. In 2009, The Leadership Challenge was selected as one of the 100 best business books of all time by 800-CEO-READ, an online bookseller. It was an Amazon Editor's Pick for one of the Best Business Books of 2007, as well as the winner of the 1995-96 Critics' Choice Award and the 1989 James A. Hamilton Hospital Administrators' Book Award.
