(APS) has announced that it has signed NFL athletes, Nate Palmer of the Green Bay Packers and Tom Crabtree of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to its elite team of athlete endorsers, known as TEAM APS. These two athletes join an already impressive group of top athletes such as NFL great, Bryan Hall of the 2012 Superbowl Champions Baltimore Ravens, Bryan Gaul of the 2012 MLS Cup Champions LA Galaxy and MLB All-Star Cody Ransom of the Chicago Cubs. These are just a few of the notable athletes on Team APS. Nate Palmer is a NFL linebacker currently signed with the Green Bay Packers. Nate was drafted directly out of Illinois State in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Palmer began his collegiate football career at the University of Illinois, but after suffering from an accident, he lost his position on the roster and had to transfer to Illinois State. He went on to start in every game for the next two seasons. In his college career Nate had a total of 17 sacks and 25.5 tackles.
In 2011 Nate was named the MVFC Newcomer of the Week after completing two tackles, two sacks, three tackles-for-loss and a forced fumble against Indiana State. He was a two-time all-Missouri Valley Football Conference second-team selection. In an interview, Illinois State's defensive line coach, Spence Nowinsky, said "Nate has a great opportunity with the Packers because his skill, his athleticism, his work ethic, he fits in really well, it's about getting an opportunity." In his last season with Illinois State, Nate was scouted by Green Bay Packers' outside linebacker coach, Kevin Greene, who eventually pushed to sign him in the 2013 draft.
Tom Crabtree is a NFL tight end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom was signed by the Buccaneers on March 15, 2013. In college he played tight end for Miami University. During his collegiate career he had a total of 38 tackles, 40 receptions and 2 receiving touchdowns.
On May 8, 2009 Tom signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent. He played in four preseason games, and then went to play for the Green Bay Packers practice squad for the remaining five weeks of the 2009 NFL season. In 2010 Tom assisted the Packers in winning the Super Bowl XLV, against the Steelers, 31 to 25. Tom totaled 4 catches for 61 yards in the 2010 season and 6 catches for 38 yards in the 2011 season. Upon the beginning of the 2013 season Tom signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom has a career total of 18 receptions and 4 receiving touchdowns.
