LOS ANGELES, CA, December 27, 2008
/24-7PressRelease/ -- NBA Star Power Forward Amare Stoudemire played the role of super hero off the court yesterday when he risked his life by climbing up a twenty-foot tree to rescue a 6 month-old kitten near his Phoenix home.
"I've always loved pets ever since I was a kid, and I didn't think twice when I heard the kitten crying for help," stated the Famed Power Forward, "It makes me happy when I can make a difference not only in a person's life but even a kitten's life."
Amare Stoudemire was offered a monetary reward from the kitten's owner but refused.
"Amare is truly a saint," said Sally Smith, the kitten's owner, "I wasn't sure about it, but now I will definitely vote for Amare for NBA All Star 2009."
