/24-7PressRelease/ -- The American Hospital Dubai has announced the appointment of a new Consultant Dermatologist, Dr Syed Amjad Ali Shah, a British national, is a UK trained (CCST Dermatology 1999, Medical Royal Colleges) and registered Dermatologist who has joined the hospital on 01/06/2011 from the UK where he was a Consultant Dermatologist and Head of Department at University Hospitals Morcambe Bay NHS Trust for more than 6 years. He graduated from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar Pakistan and did his Dermatology training in Ireland and UK. Dr. Shah held senior Dermatology positions in the UK and was actively involved in teaching medical students and dermatology trainees. Dr Shah has one year Laser / Cosmetic / Mohs Cutaneous surgery fellowship and undertaken research and published several papers on the treatment of a variety of dermatological conditions.
Dr Syed Amjad Ali Shah is fully trained in Dermatology / lasers / cosmetic / Cutaneous surgery and has a special interest in Laser, cosmetic treatments and new treatments for inflammatory diseases. Through his career, he has been actively involved in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic skin diseases with new advanced medication including Biologics, laser cosmetic dermatology, allergy patch testing, pediatric dermatology and diagnosis of skin cancers and treatment with Skin flaps and skin grafts. He is one of a very few UK Dermatologists with these qualifications.

Dr Shah is a member of several learned societies including the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh; the British Association of Dermatologists; the British Society of Dermatological Surgery; the European Society of Cosmetic Dermatology. He is one of only a few Dermatologists from the UK with these qualifications.
