/24-7PressRelease/ - TORONTO, CANADA, June 18, 2008 - March of Dimes teamed up with TD bank for the TD Challenge Barbeque 2008. This year will mark the 4th Annual TD Challenge BBQ event. Come out and support TD Canada and March of Dimes and enjoy a day of fun, celebrations and great food. Previous years have been successful, raising money for people with disabilities.
On Thursday, June 19, 2008 11:30 am to 2 pm at the Toronto-Dominion Centre Courtyard, Toronto, Ontario, partnering with the March of Dimes, staff members of TD welcome the downtown business community while hosting a cook-off. Past celebrities in attendance have included the Blue Jays mascot Ace, Duke the Dog, Ben Mulroney, Jeff Adams, hockey legend Ron Ellis, former Toronto Maple Leafs GM Gord Stellick and the Honourable John Baird.
Teams are challenged to raise the most in sales of hotdogs, hamburgers and soft drinks. The money raised supports people with disabilities. As well as food there will be a chance to win great prizes through the Summer Lottery Draw. Don't miss your chance to win a great prize while supporting the programs and services of Ontario March of Dimes that help people with physical disabilities to live more independently.
Tickets are $10 each, there are only 8600 tickets are available and there are over $17,000 in prizes to be won! The Grand Prize is an 18-day exotic escapade trip for two to South Africa that includes accommodations, a safari and a gift certificate for luggage. Roundtrip, economy airfare to and from Toronto all applicable taxes are included. The second place prize is a Jack Nicklaus signed Farewell to the British Open Collectors Frame, "The Richard Brothers," Maurice and Henri, signed Puck Collectors Frame and a 1964 Maple Leafs signed Stanley Cup Team celebration photo and Tallboys. The third place prize is a 32" Sony LCD TV Model KDL32XBR4 and a Sony Blu-Ray Player Model BDPS300. The fourth place prize is four tickets to a Toronto Blue Jays game sitting in the TD Comfort Zone and an autographed baseball signed by Frank Thomas. The fifth place prize is dinner for two at Canoe Restaurant in Toronto
