Ms. Markie is the founder of the niche real estate investment company Silver Lining Properties, and its subsidiary, Silver Lining Capital Group. The company was established three years ago, and she continues to facilitate its success as Manager of Acquisitions & Partnerships. Ms. Markie has been extremely effective in finding and funding real estate deals. A graduate of George Washington University, Ms. Markie holds a degree in Health Science and spent 10 years involved in agricultural research. Years later, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas and with her degree and a certificate in AutoCAD she went to work as a drafter with a national builder. After 6 years in the field she moved on to start her own business in 2003 and began acquiring properties. In 2009 she sold her business and became a full time real estate investor, starting Silver Lining Properties in 2010.
Ms. Markie was recently awarded the 2012 Deal Maker Award from Mega Partnering, an international business organization. She demonstrates excellence and demands it from her team and that spills over in to everything she does. This award exemplifies how she has built relationships and the confidence partners and customers have in her ability to provide the highest quality results. Perseverance and tenacity, she feels, are what have encouraged her achievements in the industry thus far.

Her objective for this year is to continue successful real estate investment deals, to expand real estate investments for equity and venture partners and continue to work with the local government in revitalizing properties in distressed corridors in her hometown of Richmond, VA. Anca's architectural and design background help her manage all aspects of real estate transactions in residential and multifamily redevelopment. Within the next few years, she intends to build up $10 to $15 million in real estate assets.

She and her team continue to pursue continuing education (which she believes is the most critical component of her ongoing success) and follow current market trends, strategies, and emerging markets. Anca recognizes that she didn't do this on her own and credits her partners and team for their diligent work in helping her build a brand in real estate.
