BERKSHIRE, UK, August 20, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anchor Vans, Berkshire's leading used van vendor and vehicle servicing company, announces plans to convert their former used van dealership site into an additional vehicle MOT and servicing department. The third MOT bay is intended to deal with any overflow of work at the current A4 Bath Road site, due to the exceptional demand caused by a shortage of commercial vehicle servicing providers, in particular Ford authorised repairers and service agents in the Reading area. For more information call 0118 9710 230 or go to http://www.anchorvans.co.uk.

Simon Joyce, Sales Director at Anchor Vans explained; "The demand for our vehicle servicing and MOT services has been incredible, and even though our new site has only been fully operational for less than a year, we're already having enough bookings to merit expansion." When asked why the former site has been earmarked, Simon replied; "It already has the right infrastructure, as the workshops are there already, they just need to be brought up to date and up to the standards that we have here at the newer site."

"The old site is also next door to a large supermarket," Simon continued. "We're keen to offer a "while you wait" MOT service - and we think it would be a great help to our customers in the local community if they could leave their car or van with us, then go and do their shopping whilst we do the MOT. At Anchor Vans we take a great deal of pride in our contribution to the local community in terms of our levels of service and commitment to the employment of local people. We feel that the conversion of the old site will be a natural continuation of that contribution."
