SARASOTA, FL, January 27, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Andrew Bers of RE/MAX Alliance Group recently completed a luxury home marketing training course offered by The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing held over the RE/MAX University (RU).

The course - which covered such topics as demographics of the affluent, lifestyle segmentation, trends and amenities in today's luxury homes, and creating a marketing plan for the multimillion-dollar property - was developed by Laurie Moore-Moore, founder of the Dallas-based Institute and author of the book, "Rich Buyer, Rich Seller! The Real Estate Agents' Guide to Marketing Luxury Homes."

The course is a step towards earning the prestigious Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation which the Institute awards internationally to sales professionals who meet performance standards in the upper-tier residential market.

Bers is an award-winning RE/MAX sales professional who has served the Sarasota luxury home market since 2004. He is an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Certified Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist (SFR) and an Equator Platinum Certified REO and Short Sale agent. He is certified by the prestigious Five Star Institute for Short Sales and Real Estate Owned properties and is a preferred REO listing agent with local and national banks, allowing them to quickly and efficiently dispose of their foreclosed properties.

"The training provided new insight about the upper-tier market, helped me polish my skills, and provided valuable networking contacts with other agents across the country who specialize in luxury properties," said Bers. "In addition, I discovered new and creative tools for promoting luxury homes and estates and new resources for finding buyer prospects."

Bers is now a member of The Institute and will be awarded the CLHMS designation once performance standards have been approved. For current information on the luxury market, Bers can be reached at RE/MAX Alliance Group, (941) 383-3741 or andrew@andrewbers.com.
