GUAYNABO, PR, March 16, 2010 /Cambridge Who's Who/ --Angel Torres Collazo, President of Collazo Electrical Contractor, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in electrical contracting services.

Just one year ago, Angel Torres Collazo presented the Collazo Floating Strainer CFS-S-1 at the National Hardware Show in the Las Vegas Convention Center. This marked the official debut of his U.S. patented invention (number US 7,241,384 B1) to the manufacturing and treatment industries, an event that has indicated a major advancement in green technology. Prototyped in 1998 to filter drinking water in a treatment plant in Puerto Rico, the Collazo Floating Strainer supports the processes of industrial manufacturing plants while simultaneously protecting the quality and inhabitants of bodies of water. It has been proven to operate without maintenance for up to at least 10 years and has many applications for the pharmaceutical, petrochemical and power industries, while also benefitting drinking water treatment plants and neighboring agriculture. Additionally, the Collazo Floating Strainer can be installed in rivers, lakes and oceans.

To summarize, the Collazo Floating Strainer has multiple objectives:

• To protect aquatic life and increase water for both biological and industrial purposes.
• To increase industrial performance and maintenance.
• To reduce global warming.
• To significantly reduce electricity consumption by industrial processes.

With 30 years of professional experience in electrical systems, Collazo offers construction services to engineering, electrical, mechanical, civil, nuclear and pharmaceutical plants, as well as wastewater processing systems and pumping stations. As president of Collazo Electrical Contractor, he handles all company finances and operations management. He also speaks nationwide on the future of eco-friendly plant processes and offers consulting services. Looking forward, Collazo anticipates collaborating with NASA to develop solutions for the aerospace industry.

A certified electrical contractor, Collazo holds an associate's degree in electrical systems with special emphasis on mechanics and hydraulics. He is a proud member of the Inventors Association and was named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Electrical Contracting Services for 2009.
