ANAHEIM, CA, October 30, 2009
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Determined to help cure cystic fibrosis (CF), an inherited chronic disease affecting the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults throughout the United States, the Angels Baseball Foundation announces its annual 65 Roses Golf Classic on Nov. 1-2, 2009, at the Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park, Calif.
Now in its 31st year, The Angels Baseball Foundation 65 Roses Golf Classic benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and people like Emily Daskas—a local 14-year-old CF patient whose inspirational story has touched lives nationwide. Emily takes more than 1,000 pills, does 180 breathing or puffer treatments, has 15 hours of vest treatments and spends 120 hours on a feeding tube each month. However, through the medications and support available through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Emily has been able to pursue her passion for dance—winning many national and regional titles—and enjoy being a normal teenager in Orange County. Click here to meet Emily and her younger brother, Luke "Oakey" Daskas, and watch their powerful story come to life.
The Angels Baseball Foundation 65 Roses Golf Classic invites the community to join in the fight against cystic fibrosis. Nov.1 will feature an evening of food, festivities, and a live and silent auction; and Nov. 2 will include daytime golf, contest holes and on-course food.
