With two decades of experience in the field of law, Ms. Malone is known for her expertise in many areas of civil defense litigation. Callahan & Malone began as a merger of two experienced trial attorneys with over forty years of combined experience. Ms. Malone is now and has been for the past four years, the sole owner of the firm, which encompasses all aspects of tort litigation, including complex labor law; construction defect issues; premises liability, commercial and residential; wrongful death; toxic torts, including mold, lead paint and oil spills involving the Navigation Act and all aspects of motor vehicle accident litigation, including trucking.

Ms. Malone represents clients in the five boroughs of New York City, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties as well as the lower Hudson Valley. She takes pride in her excellent trial results and her success in prevailing in appeals in all areas of tort litigation. Her reputation as a successful trial attorney enables her to negotiate reasonable settlements for her clients early in the litigation process.

As one of the founders and now sole owner of Callahan & Malone, Ms. Malone handles legal cases from inception through resolution, including motion practice, settlement negotiations, trials and appeals. In addition, she manages the law office supervising attorneys and staff, overseeing billing, court calendars and all aspects of a successful law firm. In her practice, she works with numerous insurance carriers, representing insured persons in third party actions and Insurance Companies. She is admitted in all State Courts in New York and Federal Court in the Southern and Eastern District of New York. She practices regularly in all the courts in the New York Metropolitan area and is admitted to the United States Supreme Court and various other Federal Appellate Courts.

Ms. Malone attributes her success to hard work and her ability to develop business and professional relationships with people in all walks of life and to take the needs and best interest of her clients into consideration in all her decisions. She has always had an interest in the law and the legal system. She was a teacher while her children were growing up and entered law school when her oldest child started college. She continued to teach while attending law school in the evenings. As part of her practice she continues her passion for education by providing seminars to update her clients regarding the latest developments in the field of law.


Ms. Malone received a JD from St. John's University in 1992, a Master of Arts in English from Stony Brook University in 1986 and a Master of Arts in Theology and Theological Studies from the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in 1985. She graduated magna cum laude from St. Joseph's college with a B.A. in English.

She is a member of the Insurance Committee and Appellate Practice Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Section and Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is also a member of DRI (Defense Research Institute)

Ms. Malone is passionate about and committed to helping younger attorneys develop into experienced litigators to better serve their clients, contribute to the firm and enhance their own careers. In the coming years, Ms. Malone hopes to continue to develop the firm, to build up the practice and eventually to allow other committed attorneys to take over the day to day responsibilities of her thriving practice so that she can travel, relax a little and spend more time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
