DALLAS, TX, November 22, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ultimate Eliminator LLC recently released the College Hoops Duel, a unique "single-elimination online tournament" for sports fans interested in the 2008 US Men's College Basketball season. The first of 16 weekly Duel contests starts on Dec. 2, 2008.

"The Duel is truly a new concept in sports-picking games," said Andrew Royappa, managing director of Ultimate Eliminator LLC. "In this contest, fans pick the winners of a set of games each week, and their picks are matched up in a bracket-style contest pyramid. The Giant Pyramid competition structure really adds a lot of fun and excitement to the process."

While the contest emphasizes knowledge of NCAA basketball and strategic sports picking acumen, Royappa says that it is also easy to learn and quick to play. Once the first game of each week starts, the picks are locked and the 'Giant Pyramid' of player matchups is revealed. Then, as basketball game results become known, players slowly start find out if their duels are victorious. One player eventually eliminates the rest to reach the top of the pile. This player wins the whole weekly contest and is awarded a prize. Ultimate Eliminator plans to offer $50 weekly cash prizes, although for its grand opening of the College Hoops Duel, it is awarding a prize of $100 cash or an Apple iPod Nano 4GB.

The 16 games scheduled for picking each week are carefully selected by Ultimate Eliminator administrators, who really enjoy the process, according to Royappa. "It's all part of the fun. We try to put games on the schedule that fans will enjoy picking, like the North Carolina St. vs. Davidson game in our first week. Because of Davidson's great performance in the tournament last year, there's going to be some real fan interest in seeing how they do against a quality Division 1 team. So we try to challenge and entertain our fans with the schedule of games available for picking every week."

Ultimate Eliminator LLC was founded in 2008 and offers a variety of online college and professional sports picking games, including the College and Pro Football "Tournaments of Champions", which are still ongoing for the 2008 season with $500 grand prizes. Fans can join and play any week. Its web site is intended to be a free, entertainment hub for sports fans. The company never sends spam (commercial) email to its players, and offers cash prizes for all its games.
