APPLE VALLEY, CA, November 04, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Westland Industries, managers of the Bear Valley Mobile Home Community in Apple Valley, hope to stimulate local mobile home growth and help current residents through a community-wide space rent freeze. Coupled with the Federal government's new home buyer tax credit, the company believes the rent freeze will give confidence to prospective home buyers.

"The rent relief is good news to anyone in the market for an affordable home buying option in the Victorville area" stated Kristi Frodesen, the new manager at Bear Valley. "The tax credit will help first time buyers get into a starter home and the rent freeze will help keep their monthly payments affordable," she explained.

"We realize that the people of the Victorville region have been hit hard in the last few years," said Rick Bloom, regional manager for Westland's manufactured housing division. "First there was the base closure, then gas prices skyrocketed which of course cut short the economic growth the area was experiencing. Even with the recession now hopefully coming to an end a lot of people lost their jobs and could use a little relief."

Management confirmed that it is also planning to expand services in the park with an upgraded community center and new amenities. "We believe that Apple Valley is still a solid investment" explained Rick Bloom. "We want to back that investment up with real improvements on the ground." Plans also call for a new larger playground, improved landscaping with expanded green space and a fire pit for community events.

Westland has a history of helping people make the transition to home ownership easier. They have a long established no-credit policy in each of the 12 parks the company manages. Jennifer, who was recently approved for a home in the company's Hemet Desert Palms community, tearfully revealed that she and her husband never thought they would be able to qualify for a home. "We really had no hope but they made it work for us," she said. "We'll finally be able to move our family into a home of our own"
