Applied Comfort Introduces New RS PTAC

    LOUISVILLE, KY, June 07, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Air Distributors is pleased to announce the newest PTAC unit from Applied Comfort Products, the RS PTAC. The RS is a package terminal heat pump built to replace the discontinued McQuay RS unit. The new Applied Comfort RS PTAC is CSA (US and Canada) certified for safety and performance. All RS PTAC units are made in North America.

The McQuay RS PTAC unit has a large installed base throughout the US and Canada, and can be found in hotels, motels, schools, nursing homes, condos, etc. McQuay chose to discontinue the RS, leaving customers without a reliable replacement. "We have been working closely with Applied Comfort to develop a reliable replacement that can be installed with no modifications" stated Greg McNary, Air Distributors General Manager. McNary added, "Applied Comfort came through in a major way with the RS PTAC in terms of performance and reliability. It was truly built with the customer in mind, and we are very excited to bring it to market." The Applied Comfort RS PTAC is a premium quality unit designed primarily as a replacement unit. Due to high efficiencies, the RS PTAC also qualifies for new construction. A full complement of accessories will also be available, including wall sleeves, louvers, sub bases, etc.

The Applied Comfort RS PTAC serves both as a replacement and new construction unit, and is well suited for multi-unit installations where cost, performance, and ease of maintenance are primary concerns. The RS PTAC has a first production run scheduled for June, 2013, and will begin shipping in late June.
