CASPER, WY, January 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ardyth Fritts, Intensive Life Skills Teacher for Natrona County Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
As an intensive life skills teacher for Natrona County Schools, Ms. Fritts is responsible for teaching students who are medically fragile and physically handicapped, assisting students in maintaining muscle skills and improving their communication, assisting students in inclusion classes and instructing teachers on working with special needs students. She enjoys the challenge of her job despite the disheartening reality of the children's short life spans. As a child, she had a mentally disabled friend and was drawn to other children with disabilities. While pursuing her education, Ms. Fritts worked full-time and maintained a 4.0 GPA. She attributes her success to her college professors' belief in her and to her passion for her profession.
Ms. Fritts received her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University. She is a member of the Diversity Task Force in Casper and the Council for Exceptional Children. In 2000, she was honored with a Professional Executive Women's Award and won a Teacher of the Year Award in 1999. She intends to obtain her Ph.D. in special education.
