Arizona Crime Victim Attorney, Sara J. Powell to Present at "Civil Justice for Victims of Crime in Arizona" Training Conference

Powell will present at the upcoming "Civil Justice for Victims of Crime in Arizona" training conference Wednesday, April 24, 2013. The training will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (MST) at the Nina Mason Pulliam Conference Center, 5025 East Washington Street in Phoenix, Arizona 85034.

The training conference is targeted to the following professionals:

- Victim Advocates working in government agencies and community-based organizations
- Mental Health Service Providers
- Law Enforcement Officers
- Social Workers
- Sexual Assault and Forensic Nurse Examiners
- Prosecutors, and Probation and Parole Officers

During the training presentations, experts will address the difference between the victim's role and rights in the criminal versus civil legal process. As one of the expert presenters, attorney Sara J. Powell's topic will cover specific examples of how victim service providers were able to assist their clients achieve both justice and compensation through the civil justice system for the injuries they suffered as a result of criminal activity.
