As part of a major software systems upgrade, Armstrong International took the opportunity to evaluate new product configurator solutions. "We had replaced our old ERP system, and our existing configurator software didn't work with the new system," said Kurt Armstrong, chief information officer. "In addition, there were some limitations with our existing system that we needed to address. We initially evaluated five vendors, but quickly reduced the list to three. Configure One will enable Armstrong International to streamline its entire quote-to-order process, and dramatically reduce the time needed to produce a quotation.
According to Armstrong, Configure One's ability to integrate with CAD drawings was a key factor. "Our products are complex, so it is difficult to visualize how the product will look when you are going through the configuration process. With Configure One, the end-user will have the ability to see the product being configured in real-time."
