When Penny enters the story in the flesh, her mystical and spiritual abilities are apparent early on, abilities her parents find very threatening. A gifted healer, intuitive and consultant, "The Descendant"'s author Masheri Chappelle brings soulful insight to her writing, incorporating lessons learned throughout her life.
