BROOKFIELD, WI, March 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) mission includes expanding opportunities for members to better serve their clients and the game of golf in North America and, increasingly, around the world. ASGCA also provides the most authoritative information on golf course architecture to audiences around the world. The continued growth and development of the ASGCA website (www.asgca.org) is an example of serving members and the game in North America and everywhere the game is played.

Nearly one-in-four visitors to http://www.asgca.org are from outside the United States. Responding to the need to provide information to people around the world, site content now includes targeted information in English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Content posted in Korean is planned for later in 2011.

"The information and messages on the site are valuable to audiences in North America and around the world," said Rick Robbins, ASGCA, scheduled to serve as ASGCA president beginning spring 2013. Robbins' office translated the portion of the site in Mandarin Chinese and he knows firsthand the international appeal of ASGCA and its members. "Our game is growing and at the same time the world is getting smaller," Robbins continued. "The focus for everyone working on the site is for it to be the number one destination for anyone searching for information on golf course architecture. The translations are another step in that direction."

The site had a quarter-of-a-million page views in 2010. Besides the United States, the nations accounting for the most visitors were Canada, the United Kingdom, China, Australia, India and South Korea.
