The dream Jacqueline is referring to would be the renowned Bugatti Veyron. Boasting a maximum speed of more than 400 km per hour, the Veyron is unmatched in the super sports category. It offers a total of 1,001 HP, reaching velocities that would literally lift the car off the ground - if it weren't for its ingenious aerodynamics, which keeps it firmly on the road even at full speed. Adjusting the back spoiler, reducing ground clearance, opening and closing the lids - it all adds to the perfect balance between propulsion and downforce. Such a super sports car may not seem to be brought to a halt easily, but the Veyron's ceramic brakes slow it down faster than it can accelerate. While it takes this exceptional car only 2.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, it needs even less time, 2.3 seconds, to come to a standstill from 100. To reduce the risk of injuries in accidents, Bugatti had a Formula 1 safety concept adapted for the Veyron, a fabric of dreams for luxury-class limousines.
But, to hire this fabric of dreams, a client will need to be approved by the car hire company Aspect Car Rental contracts with. A tracking device will be installed so they can monitor at what speed the car is driven and will demand its return if driven too fast. And no matter how temporary the hire of this car may be, it still comes with a cost. Just to hire the car a client will have to put down a deposit of 100,000 Lira. An additional 12,500 Lira is what it costs per day or 70,000 Lira for a week.
And that's not the only top-end car for hire. Aspect Car Rental has contracts with car rental companies around the world that offer the Porsche Boxter at about 749 Lira for three days. A Bentley Arnage can also be hired for about 5,356 Lira for three days in the UK from Heathrow airport. Other cars that might tempt skeptic clients would be the Porsche 997 and the Mercedes SL500.
