TUSTIN, CA, January 25, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Association for Corporate Growth Orange County chapter (ACG OC) will host a networking and social media power lunch with speaker and industry expert, Sven Johnston for businesses seeking to make industry connections via the use of social sites. The event, titled "Networking in New Media - How to Build and Make Your Connections Pay Digital Dividends in the New Year" will be held at the SingerLewak University Room on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
"Social media platforms are constantly changing, and it's important to understand current trends and best practices," said Mike Issa, ACG OC board president. "Johnston's knowledge and expertise in this field will help attendees polish their understanding of social media and utilize different platforms to capitalize on business opportunities."
"Networking in New Media" will provide Orange County professionals the opportunity to network and gain insight on how to leverage individual business development prospects through the use of social media platforms. Johnston will also share his personal story on how he leveraged social media and gained connections by capitalizing on the broad social network of businesses found online.
Johnston specializes in digital advertising and is a partner and senior vice president of business development at GigaSavvy, a full-service social media and online marketing agency. On the GigaSavvy board since 2009, he continues to expand on his 15 years of extensive international business development experience, which includes work throughout Germany, South Africa and Australia.
