/24-7PressRelease/ - CROYDON, UK, May 05, 2008 - Veganism is setting fire to people's hearts this year. The Bristol Vegan Fayre 008 is set to become Bristol's main multi cultural music festival for 2008 as top names from the world of Rock, Pop & Reggae descend on the City Centre for a two day festival that genuinely reflects the City's leading Multi Cultural status in the UK and across the globe

Reggae legends Aswad and Misty in Roots both have their origins in the original UK reggae scene of the late 70's, whilst Bad Manners not only spent 111 weeks in the Top 10 between 1980 and 1983, they were also one of the original UK 70's Two-Tone ska scene that along with the Specials, the Beat and Madness helped set the stage for multi cultural bands across the world.

And along with dance heavyweights Dreadzone, local ska legends Babyhead and top jazz outfit Smith & Willox, all of them will be headlining the main stage at the two day Bristol Vegan Fayre in The Amphitheatre and Waterfront Square on Saturday May 31st and Sunday June 1st between 11am and 9pm

'It's simply stunning' says BVF 08 organiser Tim Barford from local business Yaoh Hemp Products, 'Not only have we got the Worlds Biggest Vegan Fayre here in Bristol, we've got some of the worlds biggest Bands on the Main Stage too. Aswad are huge - they've been described as the Led Zep of reggae - and we are massively honoured to have them grace the Main Stage with a set on Saturday evening at 7.30pm. And Misty in Roots are absolute festival legends - from the first Rock Against Racism gigs & original Free Festivals of the 70's like Deeply Vale, through Stonehenge and on to Glastonbury, - true festival heroes and we are most grateful for Misty for coming to thrill us with their laid back ol skool reggae rhythms - yes!'

Meanwhile, Bad Manners and Dreadzone will appeal to both young and slightly less young visitors alike, whilst Babyhead and Smith & Willox ensure a strong Bristol presence alongside such international luminaries as the others.

With a fully licensed bar open both days, about 150 stalls and caterers with superb food everywhere - all of it vegan - plus 60 talks and demos about all aspects of the vegan lifestyle, including cookery classes, and an Acoustic Stage as well as Kids area and Circus Zone, there's something for the whole family - with a genuinely excellent community price tag to match. Advance weekend tickets for access both days are only 12 (including booking fee), available from http://www.bristolveganfayre.co.uk and selected outlets including the Bristol Ticket Shop, & there's already a big demand. Kids under 12 and OAP's pay only 1 each day on the gate (max 2 kids, under 12 per adult, Kids, under 12 must be accompanied by adult over 18).

The Bristol Vegan Fayre is now in its 6th year and is organised by Bristol outfit Yaoh Hemp Products. Yaoh has a long association with conscious eating and quality nutrition, and the increasing popularity of the organic and veggie/vegan industry ensures public awareness of quality nutrition is increasingly widespread.
