Mr. Johnson is a defense attorney specializing in representing self-insured and insured employers in all aspects of workers' compensation litigation in the State of Minnesota. He is co-author of the original Minnesota Workers' Compensation Deskbook and has given multiple presentations for the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Symposium.
Mr. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science in business finance from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 1981, and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minn. in 1985. He is a member of the Ramsey County Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association.
Mr. Johnson is part of the mentor program at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, and serves on the boards of several organizations, including the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Symposium. In addition to his Lawyer of the Year Award, he has also been named Super Lawyer for 12 consecutive years (2003-2014), earned the AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell (20 years), Best Lawyers in America in Workers' Compensation, and Top 40 Minnesota Workers' Compensation Attorneys.
