DOYLESTOWN, PA, July 02, 2009
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Personal injury law firm Feldman, Shepherd, Wohlgelernter, Tanner, Weinstock & Dodig is pleased to announce that co-managing partner Mark W. Tanner, Esq. will address medical malpractice litigation at The Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania continuing medical education program, "Medical Legal Issues Facing the CHOP Practitioner." Tanner, who previously secured one of the largest medical malpractice verdicts in the courts of Pennsylvania, will provide insight into how personal injury lawyers approach medical malpractice lawsuits. More than 50 CHOP attending physicians and fellows are expected to attend the June 4 seminar, which will take place from noon to 6:30 p.m. at the Leonard and Madlyn Abramson Pediatric Research Center. Tanner will present from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
"I am pleased to participate in a program that will ultimately enhance patient safety," said Tanner. "It is always helpful for physicians to gain insight into avoiding errors or other incidents that may lead to lawsuits. I am honored to be asked to assist CHOP physicians in this manner."
Offering a plaintiff's perspective on medical malpractice, Tanner will describe how plaintiffs and personal injury attorneys develop a case, what leads plaintiffs to file medical malpractice lawsuits and how lawyers value medical malpractice claims. Tanner will also answer questions from the audience.
