Attorney Paul Hernandez to Run the Rock 'n' Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon

    VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, August 24, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Law firm Kalfus & Nachman announced Thursday that attorney Paul Hernandez has registered to participate in the 2015 Rock 'n' Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon. Held over Labor Day weekend, this year marks the 15th anniversary of the race.

Part of a nationwide series of running events, rock, hip-hop and country music acts play alongside the course at Rock 'n' Roll Marathon races to motivate and energize the runners. According to the event website, participants have raised over $300 million for charity since the series began.

"The half marathon is a great way to experience Virginia Beach over Labor Day," Hernandez said. "My goal is to finish the course, and I know I'll have fun each step of the way."

The Rock 'n' Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 6, with events like health and fitness expos and a mile-long beach run being held Friday and Saturday. The course begins on 19th Street and proceeds for 3 miles south on Atlantic Avenue before curving to the southwest down General Booth Boulevard. After about 6 miles, runners follow a loop back to the finish line on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.

According to a map published on the Rock 'n' Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon website, more than a dozen stages will be set up for bands along the 13-mile course.
