Ramseur, Jr. has been named to the Advisory Board of Band Together, a nonprofit organization that uses live music to raise funds and awareness to support other local nonprofits. A passionate and devoted community servant, Mr. Ramseur will assist with the organization's fundraising efforts and will serve a three-year term.
Mr. Ramseur's practice at Ragsdale Liggett focuses exclusively on residential and commercial real estate transactions. He is a partner and Chair of the Residential Real Estate division which has been named one of the top real estate law firms in the Triangle by the readers of Metro magazine for six consecutive years. About Band Together NC: Band Together, founded by Danny Rosin, Tom Lyon, Skip Mangum, Phil and Shellie Gruber, was ignited in the wake of September 11, 2001. Since its inception in 2001, the organization has donated nearly $1.5 million to philanthropic organizations through its mission of using live music to raise funds and awareness for local nonprofits. 100% of net proceeds go to recipients. This year, Band Together hopes to raise $600,000 for Urban Ministries of Wake County, its 2012 nonprofit partner. Past nonprofit partners have included StepUp Ministry, The Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood, SAFEChild, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Triangle, the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities and many others. About Robert J. Ramseur, Jr:
A fervent public servant, Ramseur recently completed Leadership Raleigh, a comprehensive program administered by the Chamber of Commerce which prepares participants to effectively lead in their communities. He served as the Nation's Chief of the Y-Guides program of the YMCA of the Triangle, the largest father-child program in the U.S. He is the Past President of the Board of Directors of Theatre In The Park, Inc. and is a Past President of the Rotary Club of the Capital City. He currently serves on the Board of Visitors for Camps Sea Gull and Seafarer.
Ramseur was named a Legal Elite in 2012 by Business North Carolina magazine, an award which recognizes fewer than 3% of the state's lawyers. He was also selected by the magazine for the 2011 Triangle Mover and Shaker Award. He has been named a SuperLawyers Rising Star and has received the Triangle Business Journal's "40 Under 40" Leadership award that honors successful business leaders who make a difference through both business accomplishments and community involvement. Ramseur has received the Martindale-Hubbell AV peer review rating for lawyers which indicates the highest ethical standards and professional abilities.
Ramseur is admitted to practice in all State Courts of North Carolina, the District Court of the United States (Eastern District of North Carolina) and the United States Supreme Court.
