/24-7PressRelease/ - September 19, 2007 - On May 4, the citizens of Greensburg faced a life-changing disaster. But only months later, the town is already coming back. School has started, and the high school just played their first football game. But things are far from normal. One area that's still lacking is the high school library, even though the elementary school has been fortunate enough to receive large quantities of books.
Kansas City-based trade show consultant and author, Marlys Arnold, feels a connection to these kids. "I grew up about 100 miles from Greensburg, and remember going there as a child," Arnold said. "These kids have lost everything: their house, their school, their neighborhood. They should at least have a library."
So Arnold has made it her mission to help replenish the high school library. To do so, she will serve as a collection point for members of the meetings and trade show industry who wish to participate. Her goal is to collect and send the students at least 500 books.
In addition, she will purchase at least one new book for the students for each copy of her books and CDs that sell during the entire months of September and October. She will also donate three books for each new membership in her "Trade Show Success Club."
