/24-7PressRelease/ -- Even though retail growth is slower and available retail outlets for rent in North Carolina is higher as a result of the current economic slowdown, Lisa Sims, Marketing and Business Development Coordinator of Caldwell County Economic Development Commission, is encouraged by current and future retail expansion in Caldwell County. "The Shoppes at Rivercrest in Granite Falls is a striking example of our county's growth and increased demand for retail services," Sims said.
The Shoppes at Rivercrest is anchored by a Super Walmart and includes major brand retailers such as Bojangles, Wendy's, Asian Bowl and AutoZone.
"The first phase of development is complete," Sims continued, "and the developer has several available outparcels for the second phase."
"This is a beautiful area of the country," said Larry Evinger of Lauth Properties, the Minneapolis-based developer of the shopping center and developer of other retail outlets for rent in North Carolina. "We think that the future is going to be bright for retail expansion in Caldwell County. New housing growth along the Catawba River and the lake illustrates that this is a real quality area that attracts families and business."
