/24-7PressRelease/ -- Avanta is urging clients at its popular Lyric Square serviced office centre in Hammersmith to get on their bikes and cycle to work as part of a drive to encourage people to use more environmentally-friendly commutes to the office.
"With almost 1,000 clients working at the Lyric Square centre we've installed new larger secure bikes racks and storage lockers as part of our plan to help promote fitness and reduce carbon emissions," comments Charlotte van Fowler, Avanta's business centre manager.
"We had a dark draughty loading bay with a few old racks in, but found that more and more companies expect better for their staff that cycle. We have responded to this by working with a specialist company, H-B Designs (www.hbdesigns.co.uk), to provide us with their unique ACCP racks and lockers that we helped to design and a fantastic weighted smooth-sliding entrance door.
"This new secure entrance to the building means that cyclists can access the bike storage room without dragging their bikes through reception. We also have a shower facility available so our clients really have no excuse not to swap the car or bus for pedal power! It's fantastic and we're really pleased with the results"
