Avis Israel has recently provided an option to rent an iPad 2 with unlimited Wi-Fi connectivity and included GPS for $16 a day to all rental car customers. Soon to be available throughout Israel, the new service is immediately available at the following central branches: Ben Gurion Airport, Jerusalem and
Tel Aviv.
The iPad 2 is a tablet computer designed, developed and marketed by Apple. It serves primarily as a platform for audio-visual media including books, periodicals, movies, music, games, presentations and web content. The iPad 2 has a lithium-ion polymer battery that lasts up to 10 hours, a dual core Apple A5 processor and VGA front-facing and 720p rear-facing cameras designed for FaceTime video calling.
Avis Israel customers who choose to rent an iPad 2 save money, as they don't need to pay for expensive Internet connections from their hotel, or rent a separate GPS, as it is included in the package. The iPad 2 allows them to use Skype (saving money on oversea calls), email, Facebook and other Internet applications from anywhere in the country - all included in the daily rate.
Although the service is new at Avis Israel and only a few customers have had the opportunity to take advantage of it, feedback has been very positive.
