BROWNSVILLE, TX, November 6, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Avraham K. Schwarcz, Owner of Anita's Tortilleria, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in food manufacturing.

As the owner of Anita's Tortilleria, Mr. Schwarcz is responsible for performing administrative duties, managing finance, sales, accounts payable and receivable, and checking machinery status, internal and external properties, and ingredients for freshness. Prior to buying the business in July 2009, he spent 20 years in the hotel industry including at The Plaza in New York and Hilton International. He is the owner and co-owner of three businesses including the tortilla factory, a limousine and bus service company in New York and Tropical Texas Vacation Rentals in the South Padre Island area since 2007. While with the limousine and bus service, he handled transportation for the Tribeca Film Festival and coordinated 90 percent of the Pope's visit to New York in April 2009. Mr. Schwarcz always wanted to be in a recession-proof business after being a business owner in New York for five years.

Mr. Schwarcz received his bachelor's degree in hospitality management from Florida International University in 1984. He is a member of the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce, the National Limousine Association and Meeting Professionals International. He serves on the executive board of directors for the New York Limousine Association and received an award from the Better Business Bureau. Mr. Schwarcz hopes to own several more businesses and become involved in real estate and investments.
