Following on from a recent deluge of awards for the Mondeo, ACF Car Finance has noted a correspondingly large increase in sales, making the Ford Mondeo their number one best seller at the start of 2008.
Despite several redesigns and mixed sales success since its initial launch in 1993, during what was a turbulent period in Ford's History, the Ford Mondeo seems to have entered a period where both journalists and the general public can't get enough of what was originally the replacement for the ubiquitous Sierra.
The latest incarnation of the Mondeo has managed to see out 2007 with a host of awards tucked under its cam belt, as readers of BusinessCar voted it their car of the year, Top Gear magazine hailed it as their Family Car of the Year, and Top Gear TV awarded it their joint plaudit of the Car of the Year title along with the Subaru Legacy Outback.

The strength of public interest in the Mondeo looks set to continue, as overall sales figure have been exceeding expectations, mirroring those experienced at ACF Finance.
7 out of 10 ACF Car Finance customers recently stated that they placed the Ford Mondeo in their top 3 preferred choice of vehicle.
