Bacon Press Books Releases Thriller Landfall by Joseph Jablonski

Book Will Keep Readers Gripped Until The Last Page

WASHINGTON, DC, January 08, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bacon Press Books announces the release of the suspense novel, Landfall (ISBN 978-0-9913443-8-3, Bacon Press Books, 2014) by Joseph Jablonski. The paperback edition will retail for $8.99 and the ebook edition will be $3.99. Jablonski died suddenly in May 2014. His manuscript recently completed, he was about to approach a publisher, but never got the chance. Both his wife, Darlyn and son, Peter worked tirelessly to see the book published on his behalf. The novel takes the reader through a vivid tale of murder that spans forty years. Written in a dynamic fashion the book is riveting and will keep readers in suspense to the last page. The book can in many ways be described as a literary thriller set on the high seas.

"My dad was a magnificent story teller and other authors would tell him to write down the words exactly as he told them. When I gave his eulogy, I told everyone that I was going to do whatever I could to get my dad's work published," said Peter Jablonski. "I wanted to somehow fulfill his unfulfilled dream."

"We are proud to be the publisher of Landfall," said Michele Orwin. "We were lucky that the manuscript Joseph left was nearly flawless. It has all the elements that make a book great--a fascinating storyline fleshed out with keen observations of human nature."

Landfall is the story of Jake Thomas who has retired from a life at sea. He has settled into a comfortable retirement and even has a new wife. Yet a secret from Jake's past can undo it all. On Jake's first sea voyage more than forty years ago, a woman was murdered and now her children seek answers from Jake. Does he know what really happened? Did the wrong man go to jail? Can they trust him to finally tell the truth?

Written in a style that compares to Joseph Conrad and James Patterson, the author drew upon his thirty years of sea experience to craft a book of mystery and intrigue.

Joseph Jablonski was born in 1948 and spent 30 of his 66 years circumnavigating the world on an odyssey that would bring him to test the limits of his courage and stamina.

At age 50, Jablonski relinquished his role as captain for that of writer. This story, and Three Star Fix that precedes it, reveal the heart of a man engaged with the world, undaunted by its challenges, and at peace with his own nature. He was also a contributor to the New York Times Opinionator column. Landfall is Jablonski's second book
