Band Together Adds Program Manager

Triangle-Area Nonprofit Continues Growth with New Hire

RALEIGH, NC, May 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Just four years after making the move to hire its first full-time staff member, Band Together has literally doubled its employee base with the hire of Fraley Marshall as program manager. Band Together NC, a Triangle-based organization that uses live music as a platform for social change, has raised more than $3.5 million for Triangle-area nonprofits since its formation in 2001.

Marshall will be responsible for overseeing volunteer engagement, administration, and event management of the organization, as well as assisting with stewardship management, marketing, and community outreach. She has over 15 years of experience managing events and community relations/outreach in political, corporate, nonprofit, and arts arenas, and has produced events large and small at the national and local level.

"Just as our impact on the community - in both dollars and positive change - has grown, so too have our internal needs," said Matt Strickland, executive director of Band Together. "Our events are getting larger and more complex, and there's more opportunity to interact with nonprofits, volunteers and corporate partners. We're excited to be growing, but more excited to have found a talented new team member in Fraley."

Marshall currently is an event consultant with the Raleigh Hall of Fame and previously, served as interim director for the Greater Raleigh Sports Council. She also served as director of events and as a consultant for the National Republican Senatorial Committee in Washington, D.C. and Raleigh, N.C. Marshall is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and a Raleigh native.

Band Together NC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates under one mission: using live music as a platform for social change. Since its inception in 2001, the organization has grown to become the largest annual charitable music event in the Southeast, donating more than $3.5 million to philanthropic organizations. Band Together's annual concert event is organized and led by a team of more than 500 volunteers from across the Triangle
