Barb Mueller Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Interior Design for over 16 years

    HOUSTON, TX, February 1, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barb Mueller, President of Designs Anew Houston LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in interior design.
Ms. Mueller has been in the art and design arena through various stylistic and economic upheavals, but her passion for the field has never wavered. She serves as the president of Designs Anew Houston LLC, an innovative residential interior design company. Ms. Mueller specializes in kitchen and bath design for new construction or remodeling projects with a greater focus on universal design (design for all ages, sizes and abilities) and creating accessible designs for those with mobility and visual limitations. In addition to meeting with clients, she oversees all operations and business development of her business. Ms. Mueller was named Designer of the Year by Newmark Homes in 2004. She attributes her success to her perseverance.
In 1996, Ms. Mueller earned a Master of Fine Arts in interior design from Savannah College of Art and Design. Prior to that, she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art history. Ms. Mueller is an accredited AKBD - Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer through the National Kitchen and Bath Association and CAPS - a certified aging in place specialist through the National Association of Home Builders. She is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers and affiliated with the Greater Houston Builders Association, The Remodeler's Council, and Greater Houston Partnership. Looking toward the future, Ms. Mueller hopes to hire employees, gain more business and expand her company.
